Onan Hill

1st Lt Onan A Hill was assigned to the 301st BG 353rd Squadron.
Military Occupational Specialty (MOS): Navigator/Mickey Operator.

ONAN HILL died on August 23, 2015. He was a Navigator in the ETO, flying his last combat mission on December 26, 1944. He took pride in the fact that he navigated aircraft in both directions across the Atlantic and Pacific.In addition to his active duty, he served sixteen years in the Reserve and retired in 1964 with the rank of Major. He used his GI Bill to earn three degrees and taught school for 31 years. He married Wanda Lea Bound on June 5, 1948. They had 4 children and 67 wonderful years together on earth. Wanda rejoined Onan, on November 16, 2015.
