Francis MacWilliams

Francis MacWilliams left the service after the War and attended Clarkson College in NY State, earning a BS degree in Chemical Engineering. He married the former Miss Jean Smith of Olean NY and had four children: Sandra, Michael, Mark and Mitchell. He rarely spoke of his service, but was always quick to point out how proud he was to have served. Unfortunately he contracted cancer and passed away September 26, 1977. B-17's were in his heart and soul. He would have gladly done it again if asked.
