Joseph Brayton Perkins

My father, Joseph Brayton Perkins, was a flight officer in the 353 bomber squadron. His plane was shot down on January 30, 1944 over Udine. He was MIA for two months but rescued by the Slovenian partisans -- he was kept underground and eventually led to safety. He returned to marry, have five children and was a Captain with Eastern Airlines until he retired at 62. He died in 1986 at age 64 from Pancreatic cancer. I am researching my father's war experience. If anyone knew him or can shed any light at all on what he was like back then, what he accomplished, I'd be eternally grateful. Thanks.
