2nd Lt. Hillhouse documents crash on a post card
2nd Lt. Harry Hillhouse stayed for one night in the forresthouse, "Schwarzensee" before he was captured. Lt. Hillhouse drew this postcard to document the crash. Franz Schnepleitner, a boy of 11 years, saw him taken by the Germans the next day. See WWII-Photo Albums 42-97728. Photos were supplied by Austrian, Richard Pieber, an amateur aircraft historian who photographed the crash site in 1999.
